Voice reminders can be sent to your customers to remind them of their upcoming appointments with you. When a customer receives a voice reminder, their phone will ring. When they answer it, an automated reminder message will play.
As well as Email and SMS tags, Sign In Scheduling utilizes Voice reminder tags. The tags used in the voice reminder will put certain information into the message.
This guide will explain how to use voice reminder tags and will outline what each of them means.
Note: to use Sign In Scheduling's voice reminders feature, you'll need a subscription to our Premium plan or above.

You can add and customize your voice reminder messages under 'Setup' > 'Customer messaging'.
To add a voice reminder, click 'Add'.
Select the 'voice' option from the drop-down, then input the message, along with the tags, that you'd like to use. Your addition will save automatically.
To listen to the message, click the 'preview' button.
List of available tags
The voice reminder tags available for you to use in Sign In Scheduling are as follows:
- {{datetime}} - the date and time the appointment is due to start
- {{event_name}} - the name of the booked service
- {{end_datetime}} - the time and date the appointment is due to end
- {{old_event_datetime}} - for rescheduled appointments, the date and time the booking was previously scheduled for
- {{organisation_short_name}} - the short name of your business
- {{organisation_number}} - your business phone number
- {{organisation_email}} - your business email address
- {{staff_name}} - the name of the staff member taking the appointment
- {{recipient_name}} - the name of the customer receiving the message
- {{location_address}} - the address at which the appointment is due to take place
Voice bookings
As well as the option to use voice reminders, Sign In Scheduling also offers the option to use voice bookings.
Customers can place voice bookings over the phone with the aid of an automated set of instructions and prompts.
