With Sign In Scheduling, it's possible to include some additional information directly within the booking URL you share with your customers.
This is ideal for pre-filling customer details and for directing specific customers to tailored questions.
This guide outlines some of the ways you can use this feature to benefit your business.
Note: don't send the same customized URL to multiple customers. If you do, you might end up accidentally sharing one customer's information with another.

How to include customer details
If you'd like to include particular customer information within your booking URL, you can do so using a series of specific tags.
To get started, you'll first need your Booking page URL. You can find this under 'Manage' > 'Booking Process' > 'Booking Pages & Links', at the top of the page.
To the end of your booking page URL, add select-staff-and-location-if-needed/?.
After the question mark, you can begin to add fields and enter information on your customers' behalf.
To add more than one information field, add a '&' symbol before each.
See below for a breakdown of the possible options:
- service=(ID) - Replace the (ID) with the ID of your service.
(You can find this under 'Manage' > 'Services'. Click on the relevant service and copy the string of numbers found at the end of the 'Direct link to service'). - name=(customer name) - Enter the name of the customer for this information to be predetermined.
- email=(customer email) - You can include the customer's email address if needed.
- number=(customer phone) - You may also wish to include the customer's phone number.
With additional information included, your booking URL might look something like this:
https://10to8.com/book/abc123/select-staff-and-location-if-needed/?service=1560253&name=Wendyl&email=wendy@signinscheduling.com&number=01234567890
In this example, the customer's name (Wendy), their email address (wendy@signinscheduling.com), and their phone number (01234567890) would all be entered into the corresponding booking fields for the specified service.
Note: you don't need to include all of the fields listed above; you can skip any that you don't want.
How to include hidden booking questions
If you've created custom booking questions and have chosen to use the 'Hidden' option, you can enter the answer to this hidden question in the booking URL you give to your customer.
To do this, you'll need the following information:
- Your booking page URL
- Your custom question ID (this can be found under 'Manage' > 'Booking Process' > 'Booking Options'. Locate the hidden question and refer to the 'Key' - this is the ID you need.
- Your service ID (this can be found under 'Manage' > 'Services' as described in the previous section).
You'll need to compile this information in much the same way as you would when including customer details.
The question and answer should be formatted as follows, at the end of your booking URL:
question-128658=answer (with 'answer' being whatever you wish to enter as the answer to the question).
With this added to the end of your booking URL, it would look like this:
https://10to8.com/book/abc123/select-staff-and-location-if-needed/?service=1560253&question-128658=answer
Once your customer has successfully placed a booking with you, you'll see the answer to the question included within the booking activity window. You can view this by clicking on the booking within your calendar and referring to the sidebar on the right.
